Happy Birthday, Peter...

Dear Peter,

Six years ago you came into this world and made it a better place. You changed me and everyone you met and brought so much joy into our lives. I am exceedingly grateful for every moment that I got to spend with you and that I had the honor of being your mother. There are no words to describe how much I love and miss you!

I hope that wherever you are you are safe and happy and surrounded by love. I have always and will always be so very proud of you. Happy Birthday!

With all my love,
Mama

Here are a few pictures from each of the birthdays he got to spend here on Earth:

And a few of him just being Peter:

  9. I am in tears... just seeing that beautiful boy breaks my heart. He looks and reminds me so much of my nephew Charlie... it just makes me realize all the more that life is so fleeting. That we never know when our last day is, or when our last hug could be with our children - and to relish every last second.

You are such a wonderful mother and Peter and Kate were both lucky to have you, as you were to have them... I know Kate is throwing a huge birthday for Peter in Heaven, with all the other little angels attending... It does nothing to ease your pain, but I am sure it helps a little to think of them celebrating with the Lord.

God bless, Amy... And Happy Birthday, Peter!

  10. Amy, You are wonderful! I know it is hard but you have to deep thinking of the good stuff. My daughter's aniversary is coming up soon. It will be four years. It seems like forever but it seems like yesterday. All the holidays... All the birthdays... You just have to keep going. You have many many thoughts and prayers with you today and all days. Love ya! 14. A few weeks ago you mentioned your Peter's birthday and for some reason today I remembered that little piece of information on my way to dropping my son off for school this morning. I thought about how bittersweet this day must be for you and how your blog has made me slow down and savor my children more. In honor of Peter's Birthday I stayed and volunteered in my son's class this morning instead of spending the morning working on the "To Do" list. Thank you Amy, for sharing so openly. You are parenting the memory of your children beautifully.

  15. It is so unfair that you are going through hell. There is nothing anyone can say or do but one thing I do know is you are an amazing, strong and wonderful mother and I to am inspired by you.Meaning I try much harder to not fly off the handle and cherish every second with my children. And I think your site has changed alot of people in that same way.Now back to your loss.I don't know what would make this tragety any easier to deal with but if I could I would. It made me so sad to see Peter's sweet little face as your site often does but today was especially difficult because I am thinking of things to help you get through each day but today I ran out of ideas.I guess you just have to look at all the pictures and video's and remember how lucky you are to be their mom.God bless you Amy and I pray for happiness to come your way.Your constantly in my thoughts and prayers.Hang in there. You are doing an amazing job helping all your cyber friends get to know your children and don't worry you can never forget a face like his.Happy Birthday Peter.I hope you and your sister are celebrating and finding ways to comfort your mom and let her know you and your sister are ok.
